Shayne began his career in financial services in 1997 with The Minnesota Mutual Life Insurance Company, specializing in life and disability insurance. He quickly realized that insurance was only one piece of a much larger and more complex financial picture. This insight led him to pivot toward financial planning, where he also began speaking at local residency programs, symposiums, and regional medical associations.
In 2006, after years of working closely with physicians and gaining a deep understanding of their unique financial patterns, Shayne founded Integrated WealthCare. His vision was to create customized financial solutions for physicians at every stage of their careers—leveraging the full spectrum of financial products and services.
Nearly two decades later, Integrated WealthCare has grown into a fully independent, SEC-registered investment advisory firm, serving more than 2,000 physicians in all 50 states. As the firm expands, Shayne is focused on mentoring the next generation of leadership while applying his nearly 30 years of experience in tax, estate, and retirement planning to serve the firm’s most affluent clients.
Behind the title
Outside of work, Shayne travels extensively with his wife, Misty, exploring cultures around the world. For him, a perfect year includes spring in New Orleans, autumn in Bavaria, and winter in the Caribbean. He treasures time with a wide circle of friends and colleagues, enjoying good wine, good food, and meaningful conversation.
In his downtime, you’ll often find him in his workshop, knee-deep in sawdust, building or fixing something by hand. Shayne also serves on the board of the Zoweh Ministry and frequently writes and speaks nationally on topics of faith and finance.
